Keep 45 tests ready at once, from routine chemistry and electrolytes to drugs of abuse, therapeutic drugs, specific proteins and whole-blood HbA1c. Finance up to $2 million with $0 down, and roll shipping into the payments. Trade in the analyzer you're replacing and put its value toward your purchase. Every unit is rebuilt Down-To-Frame® by an FDA-registered, ISO 13485:2016 certified refurbisher, then validated with multi-level QC. Our engineers install it, verify your assays and service it afterward. REQUEST A QUOTE Refurbished Roche cobas c311 Chemistry Analyzer installed in a laboratory by a Diamond field engineer How the Roche cobas c311 handles a small lab's daily workload The cobas c311 is the chemistry half of Roche's cobas 4000 series, built with Hitachi for labs that need Roche chemistry without a core-lab footprint. It's a random-access analyzer. Each sample gets only the tests ordered for it, in any order. Sample handling 110 sample positions on two rings. The disk holds 55 samples on the outer ring and 55 on the inner ring, and reads barcodes on both, so a morning batch loads in one pass. Load more samples while it runs. You add tubes during operation instead of waiting for the disk to finish. True STAT interrupt. A STAT sample jumps the queue, so an ED potassium or lipase doesn't wait behind a routine run. Small sample volumes. Tests pipette 1 to 35 µL, and Roche states 75% of c311 applications need less than 5 µL. With 50 µL micro cups, pediatric and short samples still get a full panel. Reagents and calibration 45 tests on board. 42 cassette positions hold photometric reagents, and 3 channels cover sodium, potassium and chloride on the ISE unit. Ready-to-use cobas c packs. Reagents arrive barcoded and need no mixing or preparation, which removes a step where errors happen. Long on-board stability. Reagents stay usable on the analyzer for up to 3 months, so low-volume and esoteric tests don't expire before you use them. Lot calibration on most tests. Roche states over 90% of c311 reagents need calibration only at a new lot, which means fewer calibrator runs and less reagent spent on calibration. Result integrity Serum indices on every sample. The c311 measures lipemia, hemolysis and icterus and flags results those interferences could affect. Clot detection. Pressure sensors catch clots before they produce a bad result or a blocked probe. Ultrasonic mixing. Nothing touches the reaction mix, so there's no stirrer carryover and no stirrers to clean or replace. Automatic rerun and dilution. Out-of-range results rerun and dilute (3 to 121 times) without a tech pulling the tube. Throughput The c311 runs up to 300 photometric tests an hour and up to 450 ISE tests an hour on electrolytes alone. Because it uses the same cobas c reagents and applications as Roche's larger cobas analyzers, a c311 can back up or sit alongside a cobas c501 or cobas 8000 in the same network with comparable results. The cobas c311 test menu More than 130 assays and applications are suitable for the cobas c311, so one analyzer can cover routine chemistry and much of the specialty work a small lab would otherwise send out. CategoryExamples on the c311 menu Electrolytes (ISE)Sodium, potassium, chloride SubstratesGlucose, BUN, creatinine (enzymatic and Jaffé), albumin, total protein, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, bilirubin, uric acid, lactate, ammonia, bicarbonate, iron LipidsCholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides EnzymesALT, AST, ALP, GGT, LDH, CK, CK-MB, amylase, pancreatic amylase, lipase, cholinesterase Specific proteinsCRP, high-sensitivity CRP, IgA, IgG, IgM, C3c, C4, ferritin, transferrin, haptoglobin, cystatin C, D-dimer, lipoprotein(a) DiabetesWhole-blood HbA1c with no manual pretreatment, fructosamine Therapeutic drugsDigoxin, vancomycin, gentamicin, tobramycin, phenytoin, carbamazepine, valproic acid, lithium, theophylline, acetaminophen, salicylate Drugs of abuseAmphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, cocaine metabolite, opiates, methadone, ethanol The 3 ISE channels sit outside the 42 reagent positions, so electrolytes don't take space from the rest of your menu. Assay availability varies by country, so send your menu with your quote request and we'll confirm what runs on the unit you're buying. Planning your site for a cobas c311 The cobas c311 is a floor-standing analyzer about 134 cm (53 in) wide and 86 cm (34 in) deep, weighing 270 kg (595 lb). Plan these before delivery: Delivery path. At 86 cm deep, the c311 is close to the clear width of many interior doors. Measure doorways, corners and elevators between the dock and the lab. Deionized water. It uses up to 12 L of bacteria-free DI water an hour at 1.0 µS/cm or better, at 49 to 343 kPa and 15 to 30 °C. If your lab has no DI loop, budget for a water system. Drain. It needs a central drain within reach, with the waste outlet no more than 100 mm above the floor. Power. 1.5 kVA, on 230/400 V three-phase or 110 V single-phase supply at 50 or 60 Hz. Confirm your configuration with us before install. Room conditions. 15 to 32 °C and 45 to 85% relative humidity, non-condensing. Labs that run dry in winter may need humidity control. Noise stays under 65 dB. Small and community hospitals. A c311 covers metabolic panels, electrolytes, lipids, liver enzymes, CK and CK-MB around the clock without the space or capital a high-volume system needs. Satellite and STAT labs in a Roche network. It runs the same cobas c reagents as the larger cobas analyzers in your core lab, so results line up across sites and staff move between them without retraining on a new menu. Physician groups and multi-specialty clinics. Bringing CMPs, lipid panels and HbA1c in-house shortens the wait for results that would otherwise go to a reference lab. Toxicology and pain management labs. Drugs-of-abuse screens and therapeutic drug monitoring run on the same analyzer as routine chemistry. Labs replacing an aging analyzer on a fixed budget. A refurbished c311 brings a broad Roche menu in for far less than new, with financing to spread the cost. What a refurbished cobas c311 costs A refurbished cobas c311 from Diamond costs up to 70% less than a new one. We don’t publish a fixed price because two c311s can differ in ways that change the number. Your quote depends on: Year of manufacture and software version. Later builds with current software cost more. The ISE unit. A c311 with the ISE costs more than one without, and it saves you running electrolytes on a second analyzer. What comes with it. Water system, UPS, printer and starter consumables all change the total. Installation and validation. Install, assay verification and staff training at your site. Your service plan. Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze coverage, or per-visit support. Your trade-in. The analyzer you're retiring comes off the price. Spread the cost with financing Finance or lease up to $2 million, with application-only approval up to $400,000. Start at $0 down with a low introductory payment. Get a fast credit decision and terms that fit your budget cycle. Roll shipping and other costs into the same payments. Send your daily volume and test menu, and we'll quote the c311 build that fits them. REQUEST A QUOTE Cobas c311 alternatives and which Roche chemistry analyzer fits your volume Choose the cobas c311 if you need Roche's broad chemistry menu, electrolytes and HbA1c at up to 300 photometric tests an hour, at a refurbished price. Choose the cobas c111 if you run a physician office or very small lab and want a benchtop analyzer with a smaller menu and footprint. Choose the cobas c501 if your volume has outgrown the c311. As the chemistry module of the cobas 6000, it runs up to 1,000 tests an hour with 60 reagent positions, and it can pair with an immunoassay module on one sample line. Choose the cobas pure c303 if you want the c311's successor. It keeps 300 photometric tests an hour, runs up to 750 tests an hour in mixed photometric and ISE mode, and uses Roche's newer reagent generation, at a higher price than a c311. Why buy your refurbished cobas c311 from Diamond Diamond technician rebuilding an analyzer down to the frame beside finished refurbished analyzers Refurbished Down-To-Frame®, not just used A used c311 from an auction or broker comes as it left its last lab.
